We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Midlands to join our client, a company specialising in Fixings & Fasteners. Based in the East Midlands, this role involves taking full ownership of developing new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships within the construction sector. You will work closely with internal and external teams to manage the entire sales cycle, from initial enquiries to order completion, focusing on delivering value-driven solutions and growing the market presence of the company’s product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of construction methods and experience in sales within the fixings and fasteners industry, particularly in the B2Contractor environment. Proven skills in building long-term partnerships, negotiation, and managing sales pipelines are essential, along with a full UK driving licence. Your communication and interpersonal skills should be excellent, and experience with technical drawings or roofing industry knowledge would be a bonus.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, and account management within construction or fixings & fasteners markets
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction methods and products
- Experience in managing full sales cycles, negotiating pricing, and achieving sales targets
- Confident user of MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
