Our client, a specialist aluminium windows and doors subcontractor based in East Anglia, is seeking a dedicated Designer to join their team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the design functions of various projects, ensuring compliance with building regulations, technical standards, and company quality protocols. You will produce detailed design drawings, handle technical submittals, and liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to keep projects on track. Regular site visits and collaboration with project teams are essential to meet programme deadlines and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
- Experience in design within the aluminium windows and doors industry
- Knowledge of building regulations, industry standards, and product specifications
- Ability to produce detailed design drawings and technical submittals
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Experience with structural, thermal, and acoustic calculations is desirable
- Proactive approach to identifying project risks and opportunities
